Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engg. Analyst to join our dynamic DLT team. The ideal candidate will have a background in JSON, XML, SQL, payments, account statements, and compliance. Knowledge of API design, implementation, and security best practices is required. Additionally, a beginner-level understanding of blockchain technology, particularly Ethereum, is desirable. Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that our projects meet client requirements and comply with industry standards and Agile methodologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

Stay updated on emerging blockchain trends, protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger), and regulatory frameworks to advise on best practices.
DLT Use Cases: Demonstrated understanding of DLT applications such as Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization, Cross-Border Payments, Decentralized Identity (DID), and smart contract-based financial products.
Cryptography & Security: Knowledge of cryptographic primitives including public/private key infrastructure, symmetric/asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, and secure key management.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Analyse and translate business needs into technical specifications and detailed stories.
Ensure requirements are clearly understood by both business and technical teams.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Agile Methodology:

Implement and advocate for Agile methodologies within the team.
Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams to ensure efficient and effective Agile practices.

Data Management:

Utilize JSON and XML for data interchange between systems.
Write and execute SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across various platforms.

Payments and Account Statements:

Analyse payment processes and account statement generation.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

API Management and Security:

Analyse, Design, implementation, and maintenance of APIs.
Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and well-documented.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs into various systems.
Implement security best practices to protect API endpoints and data.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits of APIs.

Business

Provide thought leadership on product improvisation with a view on competitive landscape and market trends to make informed product decisions.
Work in collaboration with PO to derive fit for growth product roadmap; with continuous focus on client metrics/feedback.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for Wealth Digital Products platform.
Document requirements in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner, using techniques like user stories and use cases.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and agile development teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Solution Governance: Experience working with solution architects and security domain experts to design and implement systems compliant with internal controls, frameworks, and best practices.
Standards & Methodologies: Proficiency in SDLC practices, Agile delivery, Git-based version control, issue tracking systems, and technical documentation.

People and Talent

Leadership: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (Dev, DevOps, QA) through the full delivery lifecycle from ideation to implementation.
Stakeholder Management: Comfortable interacting with business users, compliance, security, and external partners, aligning technical goals with business outcomes.
Problem Solving: Adept at navigating ambiguity and delivering creative, robust solutions under tight deadlines and evolving requirements.
Communication: Clear and persuasive communicator able to translate complex technical ideas into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Results-Driven: Strong track record of meeting delivery milestones while upholding code quality and security standards.
Ability to coach and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Risk Management

Partner with Product Owners to define and prioritize the backlog, ensuring it reflects business value and technical feasibility.
Conduct impact analysis and identify potential risks associated with proposed changes or enhancements.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by creating test cases and assisting with test execution and defect resolution.
Analyse existing wealth lending processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Map out new processes and workflows to support the development of new products and features.
Adheres to common practices to mitigate risk.
Ensure all artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies (SCB Governance Standards, ESDLC etc.).

Governance

Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, around infrastructure hosting and data management for client facing applications, and the regulatory requirements and expectations for the Bank. Ensure application design considerations are taken based on this.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy complaint conduct is the norm.

Compliance:

Ensure all business processes adhere to regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any issues.

Qualifications

Masters or Engineering background

Skills and Experience

Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyse and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Scrum Knowledge of the principles, components and features of scrum methodology; ability to apply this methodology to manage software product development processes.
Change Management Knowledge and experience with, managing product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
Knowledge of effective agile project management strategies and tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Blockchain: knowledge on Blockchain technology and its underlying clients and product.
