Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

CD Technotex LLP is a growing manufacturing company engaged in woven packaging and technical textile production, based in Erode, Tamil Nadu. The company operates manufacturing facilities focused on plastic and woven packaging products used across industrial applications.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance activities in our manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of machinery, minimizing downtime, and improving equipment efficiency in a continuous production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and utility equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes for recurring issues.
Maintain and repair production machines, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
Monitor machine performance and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and productivity.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure minimum downtime during maintenance activities.
Maintain maintenance logs, reports, checklists, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance SOPs.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and equipment.
Supervise technicians and maintenance staff when required.

Requirements

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
0–8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing or textile industries.
Experience in technical textiles, woven sack, packaging, extrusion, or plastics manufacturing is preferred.
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and utility systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in shifts if required.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning.
Familiarity with TPM, 5S, and industrial safety practices.
Basic understanding of electrical maintenance will be an added advantage.
Team handling and communication skills.
