Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Battery Design Engineer
Job Responsibility : -
Understand electrical architecture of HEV/EV
Conceptualization, Layout, Design and Development of HEV/EV Lithium-Ion Battery pack
Specification Determination, Testing and Evaluation of components and sub system
Cost & Weight Optimization through VA/VE and Benchmarking
Coordination with other design departments/ suppliers & related agencies for design and development Activities
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS : -
Technical/Functional : -
Ability to work on DMU /3D Modeling/2D Drawing
Ability to work on UNIGRAPHICS (desirable)
Working experience of Lithium-Ion battery pack design, child part development and testing
Knowledge of design, safety and test standards of Lithium-Ion battery
Knowledge of types of cells/modules, chemistry, electrical characteristics, battery packs architectures etc.
Experience in testing at battery pack level and vehicle level testing
Exposure to Hybrid/Electric Powertrain Control Design, development, verification and validation. Familiarity with on board diagnostics.
Knowledge of HEV/EV Regulations such as AIS 038 & other relevant regulations

Educational Qualification:
Must Have- B.E./BTech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Desirable - M.E./MTech in Design/Manufacturing Engineering with project work related to Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Electric Vehicle systems
Minimum 60 % marks

10~15 Years of relevant experience
