Role Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching DP Psychology while also supporting the emotional, social, behavioural, and academic well-being of students through counselling and guidance initiatives. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, empathy, subject expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and faculty members.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inquiry-based lessons in DP Psychology aligned with IB curriculum standards
- Design lesson plans, assessments, assignments, and learning activities that promote critical thinking and conceptual understanding
- Support students in research work, internal assessments, and academic progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate academic records, reports, and assessment documentation
- Foster a positive and student-centered classroom environment
Counselling Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counselling support to students for emotional, behavioural, social, and academic concerns
- Promote student well-being, mental health awareness, and positive coping strategies within the school community
- Identify and support students requiring additional emotional or behavioural intervention
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, coordinators, and school leadership to support student development and well-being
- Conduct workshops, awareness sessions, and wellness programmes for students and parents
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in all counselling-related matters
Eligibility Criteria
- Relevant teaching experience in DP Psychology and/or counselling within a school environment
- Strong understanding of adolescent psychology, student well-being, and counselling practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
- Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- IB-trained candidates will be preferred

Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology/Counselling Psychology/Applied Psychology or related field
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
- Certification or training in counselling/mental health support will be an added advantage
- IB training or certification preferred
Experience
- Relevant experience teaching DP Psychology preferred
- Prior school counselling experience will be an advantage
- Experience working within international curriculum schools preferred
