AMC Service Engineer (Networking, Wi-Fi, CCTV & IT Support)

Job Summary
The AMC Service Engineer is responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance visits, troubleshooting, servicing, and support activities for clients covered under Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC). The engineer will visit client sites as per the quarterly maintenance schedule provided by the Service Manager and ensure all systems are operating reliably and efficiently.
A personal motorbike is mandatory for local travel between client locations.
Key ResponsibilitiesScheduled AMC Visits
- Attend client sites as per the quarterly maintenance schedule assigned by the Service Manager.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on all covered systems.
- Complete service reports and maintenance checklists for every visit.
- Identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions before failures occur.
- Ensure all assigned AMC visits are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
Networking & Wi-Fi Support
- Diagnose and resolve basic networking issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, access points, and network cabling.
- Verify internet connectivity and LAN performance.
- Check Wi-Fi coverage, signal strength, and device connectivity.
- Perform firmware updates and basic network documentation.
CCTV, NVR & DVR Maintenance
- Service and maintain CCTV camera systems.
- Diagnose faults in cameras, NVRs, DVRs, PoE switches, and related equipment.
- Verify recording functionality, storage availability, playback, and remote viewing.
- Clean cameras and check physical mounting and cabling.
- Ensure surveillance systems remain operational and recording correctly.
Computer & IT Support
- Perform basic desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
- Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and software.
- Diagnose hardware issues and coordinate repairs when required.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance including cleaning and health checks.
- Support printers and other common office peripherals.
Documentation & Reporting
- Submit service reports promptly after every visit.
- Record issues identified, actions taken, and recommendations.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to senior engineers.
- Maintain accurate records of client equipment and service history.
Customer Service
- Maintain professional conduct at client premises.
- Communicate technical issues clearly and courteously.
- Ensure client satisfaction during every service visit.
- Follow company procedures and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with routers, switches, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Knowledge of CCTV cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and surveillance systems.
- Basic computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of Windows operating systems.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot cabling issues.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Certification in Computer Hardware, Networking, Electronics, IT, or related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant field service experience preferred.
- Freshers with strong technical aptitude may also apply.
Mandatory Requirements
- Own motorbike/scooter for local travel.
- Valid two-wheeler driving licence.
- Smartphone for communication, service reporting, and navigation.
- Willingness to travel to client sites across the assigned service area.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi, MikroTik, TP-Link, Cisco, or similar networking products.
- Experience servicing Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, or similar CCTV systems.
- Familiarity with basic IP addressing, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and remote support tools.

- Completion of scheduled quarterly AMC visits.
- Timely submission of service reports.

Location: Mumbai
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel Requirement: Daily local travel to client sites using personal motorbike.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
