How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
As a Quality Engineer, you will lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume microwave antenna manufacturing environment. The role involves driving product quality, customer satisfaction, process capability improvement, supplier quality engagement, and compliance with industry standards across manufacturing operations.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and procedures for microwave antenna manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, ISO standards, and internal quality systems.
- Leading quality assurance activities for Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection.
- Monitoring manufacturing quality metrics and driving improvement actions for defects, scrap, rework, Yield and customer complaints.
- Conducting layered process audits and ensuring adherence to control plans, SOPs, and quality procedures.
- Handling customer complaints and leading structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and RCA.
- Interfacing directly with customers with quality-related concerns, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring timely closure of CAPA actions with effectiveness verification.
- Driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
- Leading process capability studies, SPC implementation, and mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities for cycle time reduction, yield improvement, and cost reduction.
- Supporting NPI and engineering builds, from quality planning through production release.
- Reviewing PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and work instructions during product development.
- Participating in qualification and validation activities for new products and processes.
- Working closely with SQE’s to improve incoming material quality and reduce supplier defects.
- Analyzing quality data trends and preparing management reports and dashboards.
- Presenting quality performance in department review meetings and customer reviews.
- Utilizing statistical tools for process analysis and decision-making.
- Coordinating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 8–15 years of experience in Quality Engineering within Electronics, RF, Telecom, Microwave Antenna, or Precision Manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies:
- APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
- 8D, CAPA, RCA
- Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems and internal auditing.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing process control and customer quality management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
