About the role
We are looking for a hands-on Networking & Software Technician to own the technology backbone of our ClamFlow Integrated Clam Processing Center in Panavally, Alappuzha. You will be responsible for the end-to-end setup, configuration, and day-to-day maintenance of all networking infrastructure, IoT devices, cameras, and software systems used across the plant — including our supplier onboarding, face recognition, and RF tag tracking systems.
Key responsibilities
Network infrastructure
Install, configure, and maintain LAN/Wi-Fi networks across the plant. Manage routers, switches, access points, and cabling. Ensure reliable uptime for all connected devices.
CCTV & access systems
Set up and maintain IP cameras, NVRs, and access control hardware. Support face recognition and biometric verification systems integrated with ClamFlow.
IoT & RF systems
Manage RF tag readers and IoT sensors used for clam batch and supplier tracking. Ensure device-to-cloud data integrity across all tracking points.
Software & app support
Support daily operation of the ClamFlow web application on plant devices (tablets, terminals). Coordinate with the central tech team for updates, bug reports, and system changes.
Server & backup
Maintain local servers or NAS units if deployed. Perform scheduled data backups. Monitor system health and escalate issues to cloud/backend team promptly.
Hardware maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair networking hardware, workstations, tablets, and plant-floor terminals. Maintain an inventory of spare parts and manage vendor support contacts.
Requirements
Must have
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or equivalent
- 1–3 years of hands-on networking or IT support experience
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN setup, Wi-Fi configuration, IP addressing
- Experience with IP cameras and NVR/DVR systems
- Ability to read network diagrams and basic circuit documentation
- Good troubleshooting skills; able to work independently on-site
- Basic familiarity with Linux or Windows Server environments
Nice to have
- Experience with IoT devices, RFID/RF readers, or biometric hardware
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Supabase, Firebase, or similar)
- Familiarity with web-based applications and REST APIs
- Any CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification
- Experience in a food processing, industrial, or warehouse environment
- Basic scripting ability (Python or Bash) for automation or monitoring
