Full job description

JOB SUMMARY

The position is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within and between departments in accordance with the production schedule. The role includes reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; coordinating with departmental supervisors to monitor work progress and completion timelines; and compiling reports related to production progress, inventory levels, costs, and operational challenges to ensure smooth business operations.

C. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning & Coordination – (50%)

· Plan production commitments and timelines for business units, programs, or specific jobs based on sales forecasts.

· Distribute production schedules and work orders to concerned departments.

· Compile production data including production rates, work progress, inventory status, material usage, and customer information for status reporting.

· Provide proper documentation and justification for delays, operational difficulties, or cost revisions.

· Upgrade, update, and implement SOPs, JDs, and departmental documentation and conduct periodic audits.

· Minimize logistics and warehouse operational costs.

· Ensure safety and security of finished goods in the warehouse (theft, fire, pilferage, etc.).

· Maintain warehouse infrastructure, hygiene standards, and physical upkeep.

· Monitor labour inward/outward activities and maintain accurate stock tally.

· Develop, manage, and guide team members under supervision.

Implementation & Operations – (50%)

· Coordinate with the dispatch section for daily sales and dispatch activities as per dispatch clearance.

· Coordinate with internal departments such as Operations and Stores for production order release and execution.

· Support and train workmen in execution of production and sales orders from stores to packing stage.

· Monitor commitments of sales orders from release to dispatch and prepare MIS reports.

· Collect orders from Sales Coordinators.

· Maintain inward records of finished goods and dispatch inventory along with MIS reporting to HOD.

· Arrange delivery, assembly, and distribution of materials to meet production schedules.

· Plan and execute dispatch activities.

· Follow up on LRs and hand them over to the Billing Department.

· Coordinate with local transporters and manage direct dispatch planning.

· Plan and execute transfer of finished goods across locations and arrange vehicles.

· Plan production orders for all manufacturing units.

· Conduct physical tally of finished goods across all locations.

· Manage sales returns and scrap goods handling.

· Maintain transporter statements and dispatch scheduling.

· Ensure strict adherence to FIFO (First In First Out) system.

Other Responsibilities

· Prepare Production Planning Reports.

· Verify stock reports regularly.

· Maintain awareness and implementation of 5S practices.

· Follow GMP / PRP standards.

· Maintain personal hygiene and workplace discipline.
