Primary Mother Teacher

(Grade 1 & 2)

Core Focus: Mathematics & Science

We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Mother Teacher for Grades 1 and 2 who can teach all primary subjects, with strong command over Mathematics and Science as core areas. The ideal candidate should create a warm, structured, and inquiry-driven classroom environment that supports holistic development.

Role Overview

The Mother Teacher will:

Handle all subjects for Grade 1 and Grade 2 (English, EVS, Mathematics, etc.)

Lead Mathematics and Science with conceptual clarity and strong foundational development

Act as a homeroom teacher responsible for students’ academic and emotional well-being

Integrate experiential and activity-based learning into daily lessons

Maintain discipline through positive reinforcement and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons across subjects

Build strong numeracy and scientific thinking skills

Design worksheets, assessments, and interactive learning activities

Maintain student portfolios and academic records

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress

Prepare students for assessments and ensure foundational clarity

Organize classroom displays, projects, and hands-on activities

Participate in curriculum planning meetings and school events

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed / D.El.Ed / ECCE preferred)

Strong command over Mathematics and basic Science concepts

Experience teaching Grade 1 or Grade 2 preferred

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Ability to handle multiple subjects confidently

Passion for working with young children

IB or progressive curriculum experience is an advantage but not mandatory. Training support may be provided.
