Position Overview:
We are seeking a Lathe Operator to join our production team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and quality of machined parts that support our business objectives. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain manual lathe machines to produce precision components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to execute machining tasks.
- Conduct quality checks using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Perform routine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or Bachelor's degree
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in lathe machine operations and advanced machining techniques.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Basic computer proficiency for production reporting.
