Full job description

Responsibilities

Development

Creating REST services for data transfer with UI through a Node.js backend
Define code architecture decisions to support a high-performance and scalable product with a minimal footprint
Work on the frontend as and when needed.
Design and maintain large and complex databases, both relational and non-relational databases.
Establish, refine, and integrate development environment tools and software as needed
Identify production and non-production application issues as a part of deployment
Deploy applications on AWS cloud with ability to quickly debug hosting related issues.
Address and improve any technical issues
Collaborate well with engineers, researchers, and data implementation specialists to design and create advanced, elegant, and efficient systems
Perform unit and functional testing on own and other’s code to ensure quality and robustness
Expertise in planning out work, documenting technical standards, and
scheduling
LMS and API integration
Debugging course/application both locally and in client platform

Skills

Expertise in Node.js, MongoDB, Next.js, and Express.js.
Hands-on experience with JavaScript-based development on both client and server-side.
Experience with modern frameworks and design patterns.
Backend development experience with Node.js and Python (knowledge of C#, Java, and Python is a plus).
Strong experience with databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL).
Understanding and experience with asynchronous processing, partial page refresh, DOM traversal, and manipulation.
Experience with REST API construction, documentation, and architecture, including API description languages like Swagger.
Experience with parsing and manipulating XML and JSON.
Familiarity with component-based architecture such as React (along with Angular or Vue).
Broad experience in JS-based UI technologies and responsive frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation.
Working proficiency in User Experience (UX) design, including interaction design, data visualization, layout, and information architecture.
Experience developing multi-channel, mobile-responsive, and mobile-adaptive applications.
Experience creating and maintaining design systems or documented application frameworks.
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, ECR, and overall AWS Cloud, along with designing microservices-based architectures.
Proficiency in Kafka and Redis for messaging and caching solutions.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, with a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques and caching strategies.
Experience building and managing message queues and streaming systems.

Communication and Coordination

Fluent and relatively unaccented verbal communication skills in English
Ability to understand accents across geographies and communicate with client teams in a coherent manner

Education and Certification

Any (M-tech/ME/B-tech/BE/MCA/ Similar)
