Job Summary
A Mould Maker is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, repairing, and maintaining plastic injection moulds and tooling components. The role involves working with CNC/VMC machines, fitting mould parts, conducting trials, and ensuring high-quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble plastic injection moulds as per engineering drawings.
- Perform mould fitting, polishing, grinding, drilling, and bench work.
- Operate tool room machines such as milling, lathe, surface grinding, EDM, and CNC/VMC machines.
- Inspect mould components for accuracy and dimensional quality.
- Conduct mould trials and troubleshoot tooling issues.
- Repair and maintain damaged moulds to minimize production downtime.
- Coordinate with design and production teams for tooling modifications.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain tool room discipline.
- Ensure timely completion of mould projects.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of plastic injection moulds and tooling.
- Ability to read technical drawings and engineering measurements.
- Experience in mould assembly and maintenance.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of CNC machining and mould trial processes.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in CNC or mould making is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–2 years experience in mould making or tool room operations preferred.
- Freshers with strong technical skills may also apply.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
