Role Summary
The Assistant Manager – Communications will support the planning and execution of CSA’s
communication strategy across digital platforms, campaigns, organizational branding,
presentations, and communication collateral. The role requires strong writing and storytelling
abilities, social media management skills, and the ability to translate programmatic work into
compelling communication outputs for diverse stakeholders.
The position will work closely with the Associate Director – Impact & Communications and
collaborate across program and leadership teams to enhance organizational visibility and
impact communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media & Digital Communications
● Manage and grow CSA’s social media presence across platforms including LinkedIn,
Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and others.
● Develop and execute monthly social media calendars aligned with campaigns, thematic
priorities, events, and organizational goals.
● Create engaging digital content including captions, reels concepts, carousels, short-form
storytelling content, and campaign messaging.
● Coordinate with internal teams to source stories, testimonials, photos, videos, and field
updates.
● Monitor engagement, trends, and analytics; prepare monthly digital performance reports
with insights and recommendations.
● Ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, tone, and visual identity across
platforms.
2. Content Writing & Impact Storytelling
● Develop high-quality written communication materials including:
○ Impact stories
○ Blogs and articles
○ Website content
○ Newsletters
○ Annual report content
○ Event communication
○ Internal communication drafts
● Translate programmatic work, field insights, and impact data into compelling human-
centered narratives.
● Support documentation and visibility of organizational initiatives, partnerships, and
achievements.
● Ensure ethical and safeguarding-sensitive storytelling practices while representing
children and vulnerable communities.
3. Strategic Communication & Presentation Support
● Support development of organizational presentations, pitch decks, concept
presentations, and communication collateral for external stakeholders.
● Create visually structured presentations with strong storytelling and impact positioning.
● Support communication requirements for leadership meetings, board presentations,
events, and external engagements.
● Work closely with program and impact teams to gather relevant information, case
studies, and insights for communication outputs.
● Assist in creating communication material that strengthens organizational visibility and
sector positioning.
4. Campaigns, Branding & Visibility
● Support planning and execution of awareness campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and
organization-wide communication activities.
● Coordinate with designers, videographers, consultants, agencies, and freelancers for
communication deliverables.
● Ensure adherence to organizational branding guidelines across all communication
materials.
● Assist in communication planning for events, launches, workshops, partnerships, and
observance days.
● Identify opportunities to enhance CSA’s digital and sector visibility.
5. Documentation & Knowledge Management
● Maintain communication trackers, content calendars, documentation repositories, and
digital asset libraries.
● Support documentation of field visits, workshops, events, and organizational initiatives.
● Coordinate across departments to ensure timely communication outputs and approvals.
● Support development of communication templates, SOPs, and knowledge management
practices within the organization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Mass Media, Public
Relations, Marketing, Development Studies, or related fields.
● Candidates from other academic backgrounds with relevant communication experience,
strong writing skills, digital communication exposure, and demonstrated creative abilities
are also encouraged to apply.
Experience
● 2–3 years of relevant experience in communications, preferably in the development
sector, NGOs, social impact organizations, or mission-driven institutions.
Skills Required

● Ability to simplify complex programmatic work into engaging communication content.

trends.
Preferred Skills
● Experience with Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
● Basic photography, video editing, and social media reel creation skills.
● Understanding of impact communication and nonprofit storytelling.
● Familiarity with analytics tools and digital campaign tracking.
● Understanding of ethical storytelling and safeguarding-sensitive communication
practices.
