Role Overview We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to design, operate, and continuously improve our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable environments across development, testing, and production, while supporting high availability, automation, and rapid delivery. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with engineering, quality, and security teams to strengthen platform resilience, streamline CI/CD workflows, and enable smooth adoption of new technologies. The role is suited to a hands-on infrastructure engineer who combines strong operational discipline with automation-first thinking.
Key Responsibilities
● Set up, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure environments
● Perform Linux-based system administration and troubleshoot operating system and application-level issues
● Design, configure, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other modern pipeline tools to enable automated builds and deployments
● Work with Docker to containerise applications and support container-based deployments
● Contribute to infrastructure automation initiatives using tools such as Ansible and infrastructure-as-code practices
● Design and maintain high-availability architectures including application services, clustering, and load balancing
● Define and maintain baseline security architecture covering infrastructure, networks, data protection, and access controls
● Support integration of engineering tools such as code review systems, load testing platforms, and test automation frameworks
● Monitor system performance, availability, and uptime using enterprise monitoring and observability tools
● Investigate and resolve deployment, server, and infrastructure incidents within defined service-level agreements
● Design and manage backup, recovery, and continuity mechanisms to ensure organisational resilience
● Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to operational best practices and knowledge sharing
Experience and Profile
● 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
● Strong experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting
● Professional or project-based experience working with Amazon Web Services and or Microsoft Azure platforms
● Exposure to Azure DevOps pipelines or certification is an added advantage
● Experience supporting high-availability and production-grade environments Skills and Attributes
● Strong working knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline design and management
● Experience with Docker and understanding of container lifecycles and microservices-based systems
● Familiarity with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is an advantage
● Scripting experience using Bash, Python, or YAML for automation tools such as Ansible
● Understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts and automation-first delivery practices
● Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with structured root cause analysis
● Proactive approach to learning new tools, platforms, and technologies
● Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and operations teams
● High ownership mindset with accountability for system stability, security, and delivery continuity
