EthnicBNB is a modern travel and hospitality platform designed to connect travelers with authentic homes, local culture, and unique experiences. Our platform supports a wide range of hosts — from small homestays and PG owners to boutique hotels and luxury villas — creating opportunities for hosts while offering travelers meaningful stays.

Role: DevOps / Cloud / Security EngineerAbout the Role
We are looking for a DevOps / Cloud / Security Engineer who will design, secure, and scale our cloud infrastructure.
You will be responsible for managing deployments, monitoring systems, ensuring platform security, and maintaining high availability as the platform grows.
This role is critical in building a stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for the EthnicBNB platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Infrastructure Management
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS and DigitalOcean
- Configure and maintain Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, and security
- Ensure efficient infrastructure scaling and performance
CI/CD & Deployment
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Manage automated deployment workflows
- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth and reliable releases
Security & Access Management
- Implement secure server access using SSH and proper authentication systems
- Configure firewall rules, SSL certificates, and DDoS protection
- Ensure security best practices across the infrastructure
Monitoring & Reliability
- Monitor application performance and system errors using Sentry
- Maintain system stability and uptime through proactive monitoring
- Implement logging and alerting systems
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Manage system backups and recovery strategies
- Design disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity
- Optimize infrastructure for reliability and cost efficiency
Collaboration
- Work closely with backend and frontend developers to support deployments
- Help improve system performance and infrastructure scalability
- Provide support for production-related issues
Required Skills
- Strong experience with AWS and/or DigitalOcean
- Knowledge of Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, WAF configuration)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions
- Good understanding of Linux servers, SSH, and networking
- Knowledge of security best practices (firewalls, encryption, IAM roles)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Sentry
- Understanding of scaling architecture and high-availability systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in startup environments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or similar)
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash or Python
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Education Requirements
- B.Tech / BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- MCA or equivalent postgraduate degree is also acceptable
- Candidates with relevant certifications in Cloud, DevOps, or Cybersecurity (AWS, DevOps, Linux, etc.) will have an added advantage
- Skilled self-taught professionals with strong practical experience may also apply
