About Us

Paytm is India’s leading digital payments and financial services company, which is focused on driving consumers and merchants to its platform by offering them a variety of payment use cases. Paytm provides consumers with services like utility payments and money transfers, while empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) like Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Payments Bank Netbanking, Paytm FASTag and Paytm Postpaid - Buy Now, Pay Later. To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR and Payment Gateway where payment aggregation is done through PPI and also other banks’ financial instruments. To further enhance merchants’ business, Paytm offers merchants commerce services through advertising and Paytm Mini app store. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.

Job Function: Mobile App Engineering (iOS or/and Android)

We are looking for a senior mobile engineer who ca

n build, scale, and own high-quality mobile applications while leveraging AI-assisted engineering workflows to accelerate development and raise the quality bar. You will play a key role in shaping the mobile platform, architecture, and engineering practices across the team.

What you’ll do

Design and build scalable, high-performance mobile applications across iOS and Android used by a large consumer user base.
Own mobile systems end-to-end — architecture, development, release, monitoring, and continuous improvement in production.
Lead technical decision making across mobile architecture, platform choices, performance optimization, and reliability.
Drive engineering productivity using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Establish high engineering standards through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship.
Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver intuitive and reliable user experiences.
Continuously improve development velocity, testing automation, and release pipelines.

What we’re looking for

8–12 years of experience building consumer mobile applications at scale.
Strong experience in Android (Java/Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift) development.

Experience building cross-platform applications using React Native and shipping apps to App Store and Google Play.
Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture) and performance optimization.
Strong debugging, system design, and production problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality software in fast-moving environments with high ownership.
Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows to improve productivity.
