United’s Digital Technology team is responsible for designing, developing, and operating highly scalable technology solutions powered by modern architecture, advanced data analytics, and digital innovation.
Within this ecosystem, the NCUS (NOC, CSR, UAX and SOC) team leads the development and maintenance of the airline’s Network Operations Center (NOC); the operational nerve centre that powers mission-critical capabilities. These include irregular operations (IRROPS) management, flight delay and passenger misconnection predictions, managing aircraft routing, and cancellation recommendations. Leveraging cutting-edge digital technologies and infrastructure, the team continuously enhances recommendation, prediction, and forecasting platforms to deliver intuitive, data-driven tools that enable real-time situational awareness and informed decision-making.

People Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of tech leads, application developers and analysts to maximize performance and engagement. Provide regular feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities to all team members. Ensure effective resource planning and workload distribution to optimize productivity.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a crucial link between the US management team and the local/global application team, ensuring alignment on business priorities and technology roadmaps. Communicate effectively with leadership to provide updates on project progress, risks, and opportunities. Navigate cultural and time zone differences to foster seamless collaboration and successful delivery.
Application Delivery & Execution: Manage the entire application delivery lifecycle to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective results. Promote best practices in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies to enhance development efficiency and accelerate time to market. Leverage AI where relevant. Ensure that applications are stable, scalable, and compliant with enterprise architecture and security standards. Identify and address risks that may affect application performance, security, or delivery timelines.
Product Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with United business and DT leadership teams, as well as product SMEs, to establish the end-state vision, goals, and strategy for the product, and develop a multi-year product development strategy and tactical plans. Exchange knowledge and work together to devise effective and innovative solutions to challenges. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, and quality assurance, to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our applications.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering.
- 12+ years of IT and business/industry experience in application development, or software delivery roles, with a strong focus on people leadership.
- 10+ years of experience in application development using Java,.NET, React and AWS tech stack.
- 4+ years of experience in architecting and designing the complex software applications.
- Expert level knowledge in the Aviation NOC (Network Operations Center) to know about IRROPS and Day of Operations management
- Proven experience in leading application development teams, preferably within the Airline NOC space
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with business partners and stakeholders.
- Well versed with Microservices architecture, Docker/Container and CI/CD concepts.
- Strong knowledge in stakeholder engagement and working with US-based leadership teams.
- Lead the design and deployment of agentic AI systems that autonomously plan, reason, and act to drive enterprise-scale innovation.
- Oversee cross-functional teams to integrate agentic AI into business workflows, ensuring ethical, scalable, and high-impact outcomes.
- Experience in Agile, DevOps, and cloud-based application development (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to navigate cross-cultural teams and time zone challenges to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship.
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
