Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Legal Associate to join our Legal Operations team. This role is designed for recent law graduates and entry-level professionals with up to 1 year of exposure to contract abstraction or document review workflows. Operating from our secure onsite facility in Chennai, you will analyze corporate agreements, support litigation document reviews, and extract critical legal data. We provide structured training to help you master legal tech platforms, refine your analytical skills, and transition your academic knowledge into a high-growth legal operations career.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and analyze corporate commercial agreements to locate and summarize key clauses (e.g., Indemnity, Termination, Governing Law, Liability Limitations).
Accurately extract vital metadata points, including contracting parties, effective/execution dates, notice periods, and financial values.
Populate extracted data points into specialized systems while strictly following project-specific playbooks.
Review high-volume corporate files and litigation documents for relevance,Responsiveness, Privilege, PII and Confidentiality as per the review protocol.
Learn to apply basic Boolean search strings and keyword filters to navigate and sort large legal datasets.
Perform rigorous self-QC checks on all extracted data fields to eliminate typographical, date-format, or contextual errors prior to final submission.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and overall quality of work is as per the requirement specified.
Format, clean, and organize finalized metadata sheets utilizing Microsoft Excel.
Maintain reliable daily attendance and consistently meet volume and accuracy targets set by project managers.
Participate actively in daily team huddles, calibration sessions, and continuous on-the-job training.
Adhere strictly to the clean-desk policies and data security protocols of our secure onsite delivery center.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
Excellent foundational understanding of contract law principles, commercial clauses, and the document review workflow.
Willingness to stretch beyond regular hours to meet client deadlines.

Technical & Soft Skills

Eagerness and ability to quickly learn specialized legal software, such as CLM platforms or eDiscovery tools (e.g., Relativity/Everlaw).
Good basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data sorting, filtering, and data entry) and Microsoft Word.
Exceptional eye for textual nuances, identifying missing signatures, and picking up date anomalies within dense legal text.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a highly collaborative and punctual approach to a corporate office setup.

Working Days : 6 days working culture (Mon - Sat)

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per year
