Full job description

We are looking for motivated and career-oriented Trainee Medical Coders to join our Medical Coding team. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and aspiring healthcare professionals who want to build a successful career in the US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) industry.

The selected candidates will undergo structured training in Medical Coding, Healthcare Documentation, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding systems, and US Healthcare processes before transitioning into production roles.

Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Learning

Attend classroom and virtual training sessions on Medical Coding concepts.
Learn ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Understand US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes.
Participate in coding workshops, assessments, and certification preparation programs.
Stay updated with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.

Medical Record Review

Learn how to review patient charts and medical documentation.
Understand diagnosis and procedure coding methodologies.
Practice assigning codes based on training scenarios and sample medical records.
Develop knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.

Coding Practice

Perform coding exercises under supervision.
Apply coding guidelines to real-world case studies and mock charts.
Participate in coding simulations and quality review activities.
Gradually handle live production tasks based on performance and readiness.

Quality & Compliance

Learn HIPAA compliance requirements and patient data confidentiality standards.
Follow coding policies, procedures, and quality benchmarks.
Participate in internal quality reviews and feedback sessions.
Understand audit processes and coding compliance requirements.

Assessments & Certification

Complete assigned training modules and assessments successfully.
Work towards obtaining CPC or equivalent coding certification.
Demonstrate continuous improvement in coding knowledge and skills.
Meet certification and training milestones within defined timelines.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with Trainers, Senior Coders, Team Leads, and Quality Auditors.
Participate in team meetings and learning sessions.
Seek guidance and clarification on coding concepts when required.
Contribute positively to a collaborative learning environment.

Required Qualifications

Experience Required
