Senior Laravel Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Laravel Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be a key player in designing, developing, and leading the implementation of complex, scalable web applications. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, mentoring other developers, and making critical architectural decisions that shape our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and Develop: Lead the architectural design and development of robust, secure, and scalable backend systems using the Laravel framework.
Write Quality Code: Produce high-quality, clean, and well-documented code. Conduct peer code reviews to maintain code quality and standards across the team.
Mentor and Lead: Guide and mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical growth and collaborative problem-solving.
Optimize Performance: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize application speed, and ensure database efficiency.
Build APIs: Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable RESTful APIs to power our applications and services.
Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Champion Best Practices: Advocate for and implement software development best practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and version control.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with a significant focus on the Laravel framework.
Laravel Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of the Laravel framework and its ecosystem, including Eloquent, Blade, Queues, and Events.
PHP Proficiency: Deep understanding of modern PHP (PHP 8.x) and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
Database Skills: Strong proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including advanced query optimization and schema design.
Testing: Proven experience with automated testing frameworks like PHPUnit or Pest.
Frontend Knowledge: Solid understanding of front-end technologies like JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Vue.js or React.
Version Control: Expert-level proficiency with Git.
Principles and Patterns: Good understanding of software development principles (like SOLID) and common design patterns.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor other developers.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

"Nice-to-Have" Skills :

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Familiarity with caching systems (Redis, Memcached) and message queues (RabbitMQ, SQS).
Experience with Elasticsearch for search functionality.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

⚠ Important: This is a senior-level position requiring proven, hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade backend systems using Laravel and PHP 8.x. Candidates must have a strong track record of building scalable RESTful APIs, working with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and delivering enterprise-level web applications in live production environments. Freshers and applicants without relevant professional backend development experience, including leadership or architectural responsibility in Laravel-based systems, are unlikely to be considered for this role.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
