Job Title: Purchase Executive
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Reports To: Purchase Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services required by the organization at the best possible price, quality, and delivery terms. The role ensures timely procurement while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and suppliers
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and follow-ups
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply-related issues
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and vendor databases
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse teams
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Coordinate with internal departments (production, finance, QA, logistics)
- Handle invoice verification and support payment processing
- Evaluate supplier performance and manage vendor relationships
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management
- Ability to analyze costs and vendor quotations
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or procurement software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles
- (Experience requirements can be adjusted as per company needs)
Preferred Attributes
- Knowledge of local and international sourcing
- Familiarity with inventory management practices
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Pay: ₹10,860.23 - ₹40,156.95 per month
