Delivery Lead
ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to drive end-to-end delivery for one or more projects within the Pickles Engineering Team. The ideal candidate should bring 10–15 years of overall experience, with proven ownership of at least one complex project involving multiple resources across engineering, QA, product, and stakeholder groups, specifically in Node.js, React, and Next.js based application delivery.
This role requires strong delivery ownership, planning discipline, stakeholder communication, risk management, and the ability to lead distributed teams delivering modern JavaScript and TypeScript applications. The Delivery Lead will be accountable for project execution, team coordination, progress tracking, dependency management, and ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery across Node.js back-end services, React front-end applications, and Next.js web platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery Ownership

Own delivery planning and execution for one or more projects, ensuring scope, timelines, quality, and stakeholder expectations are managed effectively.

Lead a team of multiple resources across development, QA, and support functions, ensuring clear work allocation, accountability, and progress visibility.

Drive project ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and dependency discussions.

Track delivery milestones, risks, blockers, dependencies, and escalations while proactively communicating status to stakeholders.

Take ownership of project outcomes by coordinating priorities, removing impediments, and ensuring teams remain aligned to business goals.
Technical Delivery Focus

Lead delivery for Node.js, React, and Next.js based applications, ensuring technical plans, release scope, and engineering execution are aligned.

Coordinate with architects and senior engineers on technical dependencies, integration points, performance considerations, and production readiness.

Ensure delivery planning accounts for API development, front-end implementation, server-side rendering requirements, testing, deployment, and release validation.

Drive predictable execution across full-stack JavaScript teams while maintaining visibility on quality, code readiness, defects, and release risks.
Project & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with product owners, engineering managers, architects, QA leads, and business stakeholders to align priorities, commitments, and delivery plans.

Translate business priorities into executable delivery plans with clear milestones, dependencies, risks, and ownership.

Provide regular delivery updates through status reports, dashboards, reviews, and leadership communications.

Identify and manage risks, issues, scope changes, and escalations in a timely and structured manner.
Team Leadership

Guide and coordinate multiple team members to ensure clarity of responsibilities, delivery focus, and collaboration across functions.

Support team productivity by removing blockers, resolving dependencies, and enabling effective decision-making.

Promote ownership, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the project team.

Partner with functional leads to ensure resource allocation, capacity planning, and delivery commitments are realistic and achievable.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

10–15 years of overall experience in software delivery, project management, program coordination, or engineering delivery leadership.

Must have led at least one project involving multiple resources across development, QA, product, and stakeholder teams.

Proven experience taking ownership of one or more projects from planning through execution, release, and closure.

Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices, sprint execution, release planning, dependency tracking, and delivery governance.

Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams in a product engineering or software services environment.
