Job Summary
HCLTech is seeking a globally experienced and visionary engineering leader to drive the evolution of SmartTwin into a world-class Digital Twin, Simulation, and World Model platform.
This role is not a traditional engineering management position.
The selected leader will serve as the Technology Champion for SmartTwin , responsible for defining the long-term technology strategy, engineering roadmap, research direction, platform architecture, ecosystem partnerships, and innovation agenda.
The ideal candidate combines deep scientific expertise in Digital Twins, Simulation Sciences, Spatial Computing, and Physical AI with a proven ability to build large-scale enterprise platforms and lead multidisciplinary global engineering organizations.
The candidate will play a pivotal role in positioning HCLTech as a recognized industry leader in Digital Twins, World Models, Industrial AI, and Physical AI.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Product & Platform Strategy Define and execute the long-term SmartTwin vision and technology roadmap. Drive the evolution of SmartTwin into an enterprise-grade Digital Twin and World Model platform. Define platform capabilities, reusable services, accelerators, and IP assets. Align platform investments with strategic business priorities and market opportunities. Technology & Architecture Leadership Own the architecture and technology strategy across: Digital Twins Asset Twins Process Twins Facility Twins Operational Twins Enterprise Digital Twins World Models Semantic World Models Spatial World Models Knowledge-Based World Models Dynamic State Models Multi-Agent World Models Simulation Platforms Industrial Simulation Manufacturing Simulation Logistics Simulation Robotics Simulation Autonomous Systems Simulation Spatial Computing Spatial Reasoning Spatial Data Platforms Digital Environments Mixed Reality Integration Physical AI Simulation-to-Real Systems Synthetic Data Pipelines Robotics Enablement Multi-Agent Systems Autonomous Operations Establish architecture governance, standards, reference architecture, and reusable platform frameworks. Skill Requirements
PhD in one or more of the following disciplines: Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Simulation Sciences Robotics Systems Engineering Industrial Engineering Computational Modeling Operations Research Spatial Computing Alternate Qualification Exceptional candidates with: MS / MTech from premier institutions Distinguished industry achievements Significant patents and publications may also be considered. Experience 18+ years of industry experience. 10+ years leading large-scale engineering organizations. Experience managing global engineering teams. Proven success building enterprise software platforms. Experience leading Digital Twin or Simulation products from concept to adoption. Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
