Job Description

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
Develop and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components.
Translate business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following development standards.
Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, deployment, and application support activities.
Work with databases and develop or optimize SQL queries as required.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, DevOps, and support teams.
Support application integration with internal and external systems.
Maintain technical documentation and adhere to coding, quality, and security standards.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, and object-oriented programming.
Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
Knowledge of Git or similar version-control tools.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery practices.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Maven or Gradle.
Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience working with enterprise application integrations.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant hands-on experience in Java application development and support.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
