Position: Store Assistant – Civil Construction
Site Location: Kalyan-Shilphata, Maharashtra
Department: Stores
Reporting To: Store In-Charge

Job Summary

We are looking for a Store Assistant to support day-to-day store and material management activities at our civil construction site at Kalyan-Shilphata. The candidate will be responsible for receiving, checking, storing, issuing, and maintaining records of construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Receive construction materials at the site and verify quantity and condition against delivery challans/purchase orders.
Assist in proper stacking, storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
Maintain daily records of material receipts, issues, returns, and stock balances.
Prepare and maintain Material Receipt Notes (MRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS) and other store documents.
Issue materials to site teams as per approved requisitions.
Maintain physical stock and assist in regular stock verification.
Monitor minimum stock levels and inform the Store In-Charge about shortages or requirements.
Maintain proper records for cement, steel, aggregates, pipes, hardware, electrical/plumbing materials, tools, PPE, and other construction items.
Ensure materials are stored safely and systematically to avoid damage or wastage.
Assist during periodic stock audits and reconciliation.
Coordinate with purchase, accounts, site engineers, supervisors, and vendors as required.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the store area.
Follow company procedures for material handling, documentation, and site safety.

Eligibility

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a construction/site store is preferred.
Candidates with knowledge of civil construction materials and site stores will be given preference.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and store documentation is desirable.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to work at the Kalyan-Shilphata project site.
