About the Role
Mandita BIM is seeking an experienced MEPF BIM Coordinator / Lead to manage and coordinate BIM activities for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. This role combines technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring accurate modeling, effective coordination, and seamless integration of MEPF systems across multidisciplinary projects.
You will play a key role in leading BIM modelers, coordinating with design and construction teams, maintaining BIM standards, and driving innovation in BIM processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesBIM Coordination & Project Delivery
- Coordinate and manage MEPF BIM models from concept through construction documentation.
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection sessions.
- Ensure proper integration of MEPF systems with architectural and structural models.
- Maintain and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project specific BIM standards.
- Ensure compliance with international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and project requirements.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of BIM modelers.
- Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Conduct model reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team culture.
Quality Assurance & Technical Expertise
- Perform regular QA/QC checks on BIM models for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
- Resolve complex modeling and coordination challenges related to MEPF systems.
- Generate high-quality 3D models, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, workflows, and industry trends.
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to align BIM deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings and provide progress updates and technical input.
- Support project managers in meeting client expectations and delivery timelines.
Training, Automation & Innovation
- Identify training needs and support skill development within the BIM team.
- Conduct internal training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops.
- Support BIM content development and automation using Python, or similar tools.
- Continuously improve BIM workflows to enhance productivity and coordination efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an MEPF BIM Modeler / Coordinator, with leadership or coordination exposure.
- Strong expertise in BIM Softwares.
- Solid understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Protection systems.
- Experience with cloud based collaboration platforms.
- Strong knowledge of BIM execution planning, coordination, and quality control processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Experience working on international projects (US, UK, Middle East).
- Knowledge of automation/programming tools.
- BIM certifications
- Familiarity with sustainable design standards and energy-efficient systems (LEED knowledge is a plus).
