Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and distributed systems to help design and build scalable backend platforms, APIs, and microservices.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys startup environments, takes ownership end-to-end, and thrives in solving engineering challenges at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java and modern backend frameworks.
Build high-performance REST APIs and microservices architectures.
Architect reliable, fault-tolerant, and secure distributed systems.
Optimize database performance, caching, and asynchronous processing.
Collaborate closely with product, frontend, DevOps, and leadership teams.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical roadmap planning.
Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-grade code.
Review code and mentor junior developers.
Improve system observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure improvements.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Java 11/17.
Deep expertise in Spring Boot and backend application development.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Strong knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and query optimization.
Experience with caching systems like Redis.
Experience with event-driven systems using Apache Kafka or similar technologies.
Experience with containerization using Docker.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native deployment.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services.
Strong understanding of system design, scalability, security, and performance optimization.
Proficiency with Git workflows and CI/CD practices.

Nice to Have

Experience building real-time systems, messaging systems, or notification platforms.
Experience with WebSockets and asynchronous communication.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.
Startup experience or experience working in high-growth environments.
