What is the Job Role

Carrying out Model and drawings Quality check with QC team members using standards and codes.
Communicating & coordinating with execution Project Manager/Team leader for issues related to project.
Preparing Separate QC RFIs (including RFIs related to design problems), taking concern of QC Manager before submitting it to client.
Maintaining the QC team RFI log.
Implementing the batch files and project setting on all QC team members’ machines with specific instructions to System Administrator.
Reviewing sample Shop drawings / E-drawings received from Execution team before submitting it to Client.
Solving the technical Tekla / SDS-2 queries of QC Engineers. If queries cannot be resolved at QC team Lead, then consulting with QC Manager.
Taking idea about the structure, scope & project by doing complete Project study.
Reviewing deliverable (Drawing PDF, reports, nc, dxf…etc) received from execution team before submitting to Client.
As per project requirements, Reviewing Templates for Drawing Layouts received from execution Team. Taking help of Training & Support Manager, if required.
Handling responsibilities of the QC Manager in his absence.
Distributing daily work/task to QC Engineers.
Preparing & submitting Project schedule to QC Manager.
Maintaining project folder, having daily project meeting with QC team for spreading client’s & project’s requirements.
Ensuring paint & paint notes, cleaning, welding procedures, bolt tightening, data file & cnc etc.
Ensuring design changes are fixed in the model & shop / E drawings through QC Engineer.
Ensuring approval changes, field check changes are fixed in the model & shop / E drawings through QC Engineer.
Ensuring obsolete drawings & documents are destroyed / isolated & superseded stamp is used on such document.
Ensuring erection & bolting clearances, welding access and general erectability.
Ensuring execution of field erection process through providing field work drawings, if applicable.
Ensuring change in design documents are compared with current documents & all changes are highlighted for implementation.

Educational Qualification:

Full time – B.Tech. or B.E. /Diploma in Civil / Mechanical.

Work Experience :

Min. 3 Year experience of Drawings checking and Model checking

Software Proficiency Required:

Expertise in TEKLA and advance checking tools
Sound knowledge of Autocad
Sound knowledge of Bluebeam software
Sound knowledge of MS Office
Experience in Structural and Misc. Steel model checking as against contract drawings
Experience in Checking GA & Assembly drawings as against contract drawings.
Sound knowledge of AISC, NISD, IBC, CISC and OSHA standards of structural steel detailing.
