Position Description:
The Regional Technical Application Specialist, is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert focused on delivering success throughout the customer lifecycle for Miraclon products. Primary responsibilities include sales support, pre-installation site audits, system installation, operator training, troubleshooting and post-sales support. The TAG Specialist will travel to prospective and existing customer sites in their assigned geographic area, providing customer consultation related to the technical advantages of Miraclon products, collaborate with sales, service and dealer resources (as required) to support new orders and install the system, provide required customer training and best practice application, provide first level support in troubleshooting of plate and print related issues, and provide regularly scheduled plate room audits to insure ongoing quality and consistency. These customer and product experiences will also be communicated through the organization to assist in improving products and services.
The position is home office based in Hyderabad, India and reports to the Regional Service Manager APAC based in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities:

Development of technical strategies and practices focused on maintaining and growing plate volume in designated accounts.

Customer pre-sales support, working with the sales team in providing technical consultation related to the Miraclon value proposition and specific customer strategy development.

Support sales by conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations, as well as required.

Coordinate commercially measurable print trials and provide analysis of results and compilation of detailed internal and external reports.

Coordinate and conduct pre-installation surveys and site audits at prospective accounts to ensure that equipment and space is suitable to support system requirements.

Installation, startup, training of the flexo plate making solution to customer.

Support for flexo and packaging solution issues and “Best Practice” implementation, including imaging, plate making, and print

On press (flexo) trouble shooting and assistance

Coordinate and conduct regularly scheduled Plate Room Audits at customer sites.

Maintain and update Install Database customer specific data for assigned Regional accounts.

Initiate and follow up on PIR (Product Investigation Report) related to product issues in the field.

Assist in gathering learning’s from customer environments and communicating on periodic basis to product development teams.

Supporting Alpha and Beta programs for upcoming products with selected customers.

Provide feedback to improve overall service delivery, including the voice of the customer.
Education, Skills & Experience:

Diploma or degree in Printing Technologies (specifically Flexography & other packaging printing technologies) or equivalent experience.

Minimum industry experience level: 5+ years.

Track record of high-quality performance and results.

Demonstrate high level analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge and experience in related fields such as color management, print production, QC methods etc.

Proven customer interaction soft skills, including previous sales or sales support experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Reacting quickly to the different demands and able to prioritize.

Capable of working with reporting and analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SFDC.

Fluent in English, other local dialects are a plus.
Successful candidates must possess in-depth experience in the flexographic packaging market and a solid understanding of the flexographic reproduction process, ranging from prepress workflow, color management, plate making and print application/troubleshooting.
The position requires traveling primarily in North and East India but may also extend to other sites across India.
