WHO WE ARE

Calyp is an early-stage deeptech startup building context-aware intelligent wearable systems. Our current focus is Eventag, a wearable device designed to understand and interpret context from ambient sound in real-world environments. We’re a small, focused team that values deep thinking, fast iteration, and building technology that is both technically rigorous and genuinely useful.

THE ROLE

We're looking for an early-career digital marketing specialist to own our online presence and help us build awareness in the academic neuroscience and neurotechnology community.

This role is ideal for someone who is excited about working at the intersection of deep tech and science, wants to learn fast, and is comfortable figuring things out without a playbook. We value strong fundamentals and curiosity more than work experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

SEO & Web Presence

Build and manage the website content and blog (eventag.ai)
Research keywords relevant to mobile EEG, neurotechnology, biosignal research, and wearable devices
Write and optimise SEO-driven content: blog posts, landing pages, product descriptions
Track organic search performance using free/affordable tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics)
Build backlink opportunities through research publications, directories, and partner sites

Social Media & Community

Manage our LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and any other relevant channels
Create and schedule regular posts: product updates, research insights, team milestones, industry commentary
Engage with the neuroscience and neurotechnology community online
Grow our audience and engagement organically

Content & Communications

Draft newsletters, email campaigns, and outreach templates
Help create pitch materials, one-pagers, and visual assets for conferences and investor conversations
Maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels

Sales Support & Outreach

Support the founding team with lead research and outreach preparation
Help manage and update our CRM / lead tracking tools
Research target institutions, labs, and conferences for outreach campaigns
Track and report on outreach metrics

General Marketing Operations

Set up and maintain marketing analytics and reporting
Research and recommend tools, platforms, and channels
Stay current on what's happening in neurotech, mobile EEG, and AI and surface opportunities

WHO YOU ARE

Must-haves:

Strong English writing skills you can explain complex technology in clear, engaging language
Understanding of SEO principles (keyword research, on page optimisation, content strategy)
Experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional we care about quality, not job titles)
Comfortable with tools like Google Analytics, Canva, LinkedIn, and basic email marketing platforms
Self-starter mentality. ie. you don't wait to be told what to do
Genuine curiosity about technology and wearables

Nice-to-haves:

Experience at an early-stage startup or in a role where you wore multiple hats
Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Clay, Apollo, or similar)
Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Figma, or similar)
Understanding of B2B marketing or selling to institutions
Video editing or short-form content creation skills
Knowing German is a plus
