We are seeking a dynamic and experienced International Business Development Executive to drive market penetration, establish and grow distributor networks, and close strategic deals across the region.
Position Summary:
The International Business Development Executive – is responsible for driving international sales growth across the APAC, EMEA, Latin America, and USA markets, specifically within the Spine, Ortho, and CMF product lines.
The role involves managing and expanding our distributor network, generating and converting leads, participating in regional conferences, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, detail oriented, and possess strong communication skills, will have extensive experience in international business development, preferably in the spinal and orthopaedic medical device sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Development
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the Spine, Ortho, and CMF product lines across the APAC, EMEA, Latin America and the USA.
- Expand product reach and revenue by executing strategic sales plans tailored to these markets.
- Achieve monthly regional sales targets and KPIs through proactive planning and performance optimization.
- Set individual sales goals based on market potential, with measurable milestones in lead conversion, client acquisition, and revenue generation.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including quotation, order conversion, invoicing, stock checks, shipment, and delivery tracking.
- Maintain client accounts and work cross-functionally with production, logistics, finance, and store teams to ensure smooth sales execution.
- Adapt sales strategies and business plans based on market insights and performance metrics to optimize results.
Client & Distributor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with medical distributors, Doctors, healthcare professionals, agents, and partners in the target regions.
- Analyze and onboard potential customers for distribution partnerships, including preparation of required documents and process establishment.
- Serve as the key point of contact for clients and partners in the region.
- Assist with client onboarding and provide continuous account management and support. Ensure distributor compliance with documentation and partnership protocols.
Lead Generation & Conversion
- Identify and source leads from LinkedIn and other digital platforms, follow up on prospects from international trade shows and conferences, and turn them into sales opportunities.
- Draft professional email and WhatsApp communications for client engagement.
- Respond to leads quickly, follow up, understand their needs, and nurture relationships to close deals.
- Identify potential customers for distribution partnerships and assist in documentation and on boarding.
Regulatory & Documentation
- Identify and liaise with regulatory affairs companies in each target country for product registration.
- Draft necessary documents, including NDAs, distributor contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Schedule meetings to discuss regulatory processes and registration requirements for each region.
- Work with the internal regulatory affairs team to prepare technical dossiers, ensuring all regional regulations and documentation requirements are met.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and sales activities in ZOHO CRM software.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly sales reports and pipeline updates to senior management and maintain the reports in Excel format.
- Use VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables for data analysis and reporting.
- Track lead progress and conversion rates, ensuring visibility into the sales funnel.
- Work closely with existing CRM data and exhibition-generated leads to maintain accurate records both in Excel and CRM, ensure timely follow-ups, and facilitate smooth and professional sales conversations.
Digital Marketing & Content Coordination
- Coordinate with digital marketing agencies for social media content, SEO, and blog updates.
- Contribute to creating content plans for social media and assist in website/LinkedIn updates regarding new product launches, events, etc.
- Handle e-commerce platforms (Alibaba, eBay, and other Trade and B2B websites) and support digital sales efforts.
Conferences & Events
- Identify and register for relevant medical conferences and global events.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of participation, including booth registration, booth design, and preparation of materials.
- Represent Gesco Healthcare at trade shows and exhibitions.
- Coordinate logistics, payments, and shipments with internal and external teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Negotiate with conference organizing committees and manage the end-to-end process for successful participation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/PG/MBA in Business Administration, Business Management, or International Business.
- 5–8 years of experience in international sales, preferably in the medical devices/orthopedic/spinal segment.
- Proven track record of managing distributor networks and closing international deals.
- Strong familiarity with the APAC, EMEA, Latin American markets and the USA.
- Proficient in ZOHO CRM or other sales platforms.
- Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
Skills:
- Excellent communication (email, verbal, WhatsApp) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and client accounts.
- High cultural sensitivity and adaptability for diverse international markets.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to coordinate with multiple internal departments.
- Strong digital awareness for lead generation and social media marketing.
Other Requirements:
- Travels internationally as needed (optional but preferred).
- Flexibility to work hours that align with APAC, EMEA, LATAM and USA time zones.
- Works in a hybrid model (combination of remote and office-based work).
- Work schedule: Monday to Saturday.
