Role Overview
As the Senior Manager – Brand Content Studio, you will lead the creative vision, strategy, and execution for all brand-funded content initiatives. With 10–12 years of rich experience in digital content production, you will be the bridge between editorial excellence, video production, and brand objectives. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team of scriptwriters, video producers, and editors to deliver world- class digital video commercials (DVCs), social media carousels, podcasts, and long- form mini-documentaries.
Reports To: Director – Brand Content Studio
Core Responsibilities
1. Creative Leadership & Content Curation
Script & Vision Stewardship: Guide, review, and sharply curate concepts, scripts, and storyboards. Ensure every piece of content strikes the perfect
balance between the brand’s brief and TBI’s signature uplifting, authentic tone.
End-to-End Production Oversight: Direct and oversee the production lifecycle for diverse formats, including high-production-value DVCs, human-
interest mini-documentaries, thought-leadership podcasts, and high- engagement social carousels including pre-production, shoot, editing and post
production.
Quality & Standards: Maintain rigorous editorial and visual standards, ensuring all deliverables are polished, factually accurate, and highly engaging.
2. Strategy & Digital Performance
Data-Driven Creativity: Infuse data analytics into the creative process. Understand digital platform algorithms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn,
Facebook) to optimize content for reach, watch time, and engagement.
Performance Evaluation: Analyze post-campaign metrics against brand KPIs. Use these insights to iterate content formats and pitch sharper, more
effective strategies to clients.
Format Innovation: Keep the studio ahead of the curve by conceptualizing and piloting emerging formats, interactive content, and trend-jacking ideas
that resonate with modern digital audiences.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
Client Management: Act as the senior creative point of contact for marquee clients, managing expectations, interpreting feedback constructively, and
presenting creative solutions confidently.
4. Team Mentorship & Operations
Team Building: Mentor a talented team of writers, producers, directors, and editors, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Resource & Workflow Optimization: Manage studio pipelines, budgets, and external vendor/freelancer networks to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within financial parameters.
Required Skill Set & Qualifications
Technical & Creative Skills
Multi-Format Mastery: Proven track record of producing premium DVCs, long-form human-interest stories/documentaries, audio/podcast formats, and
scannable micro-content (carousels, reels).
Advanced Script Assessment: Exceptional ability to deconstruct a script, improve pacing, sharpen hooks, and ensure emotional resonance within the
first few seconds of digital playback.
Direction &Visual Sense: Strong understanding of cinematography, post-production workflows (grading, audio design, pacing), and visual aesthetics tailored for mobile-first consumption.
Platform Analytics Literacy: Proficiency with native analytics tools (YouTube Studio, Meta Business Suite) and external listening tools to gauge audience
retention and engagement.
Behavioral & Leadership Skills
Empathetic Leadership: Ability to manage creative individuals, providing constructive feedback that inspires rather than stifles creativity.
Strategic Thinking: Able to look past just making a good video to understand how that video serves a brand's funnel and TBI’s community.
Agility & Problem Solving: Calm under pressure, with the ability to pivot creative execution when client guidelines or production constraints shift
unexpectedly.
Background & Qualifications
Experience: 10–12 years in digital media agencies, content studios, OTT platforms, or brand-side creative labs.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Filmmaking, Advertising, or a related field.
Added Advantage: Prior exposure to or experience in the developmental/social sector. A deep understanding of how to communicate complex social, environmental, or community-led initiatives without resorting to pity-based storytelling is highly valued.
The Ideal Candidate Profile: You are a seasoned storyteller who knows that a great story isn't just about beautiful visuals—it's about a hook that stops the thumb from scrolling, an emotional arc that builds trust, and data that proves it worked. You are passionate about impact and excited about making goodness profitable for brands, then we are excited to meet with you!
