Role
The Finance Manager will serve as the custodian of the company's financial health, governance, and scalability. This role exists to build a world-class finance function that enables sustainable business growth while ensuring complete financial control, compliance, and operational excellence.
The Finance Manager will own the end-to-end finance ecosystem across India and international operations (If required), partnering closely with Founder to provide financial visibility, commercial insights, and strategic decision support.
This is a high-ownership role for a Chartered Accountant who can seamlessly operate as a Controller, Business Finance Partner, Compliance Lead, and Finance Operator within a fast-growing, dynamic media and content organization.
Responsibilities
Financial Controllership & Accounting
- Own the end-to-end finance function including accounting, reporting, controls, and governance.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
- Maintain complete integrity of financial records, ledgers, and statutory books.
- Establish robust financial controls and approval mechanisms across the organization.
- Lead statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and financial due diligence exercises.
Revenue Management & Commercial Finance
- Own the complete revenue lifecycle from client onboarding to invoicing, collections, and revenue reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and eliminate revenue leakages.
- Monitor receivables, collection cycles, and client outstanding balances.
- Drive working capital optimization and cash-flow visibility.
- Build profitability tracking mechanisms across clients, business units, and service lines.
Payroll, Employee Finance & Compliance
- Own payroll governance for all employees across entities and Insurance.
- Ensure accurate salary processing, reimbursements, incentives, settlements, employee payouts and drive payroll accuracy.
- Ensure complete compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Laws, TDS, and other statutory obligations.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Drive end-to-end compliance for GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and all applicable statutory requirements.
- Ensure zero compliance lapses through strong governance and monitoring mechanisms.
- Manage relationships with external consultants, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on evolving regulations and proactively implement changes.
Treasury & Vendor Management
- Manage company cash flows, banking relationships, and treasury operations.
- Oversee vendor onboarding, payment controls, and working capital planning.
- Ensure optimal utilization of funds while maintaining adequate liquidity.
- Establish strong payment governance and approval workflows.
Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
- Develop founder-level MIS reports, dashboards, and financial performance reviews.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and identify risks and opportunities.
- Deliver actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Process Excellence & Automation
- Design scalable finance processes aligned with organizational growth.
- Identify automation opportunities and eliminate manual dependencies.
- Build SOPs, policies, and governance frameworks across finance operations.
- Drive operational efficiency through systems, controls, and process improvements.
Requirements
Education Qualification
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
Experience
- 7–10 years of post-qualification experience in Finance, Controllership, Audit, or Business Finance roles.
- Experience in high-growth startups, media companies, agencies, consulting firms, SaaS businesses, or dynamic service organizations preferred.
- Prior exposure to multi-entity or international finance operations will be an advantage.
Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of Accounting Standards, Financial Reporting, and Controllership.
- Deep expertise in Payroll, Taxation, Compliance, Audit, and Regulatory Governance.
- Strong experience in Revenue Management, Collections, Vendor Payments, and Working Capital Management.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, MIS, and business finance.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and finance systems.

- Implement scalable finance processes and automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
- Become the trusted finance partner to Founders and leadership teams for strategic business decisions.
- Create a finance function that can seamlessly support growth across geographies, entities, and increasing organizational complexity.

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per year
