MEP Site Engineer
(MEP = Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)
Role Summary
An MEP Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the proper installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at construction sites according to project drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution
- Supervise installation of HVAC, electrical, fire fighting, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, and contractors.
2. Site Supervision
- Monitor daily site activities and manpower.
- Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with standards.
- Resolve technical issues at the site.
3. Drawing & Documentation
- Review MEP shop drawings and layouts.
- Prepare as-built drawings and reports.
- Maintain site records, work progress reports, and inspection documents.
4. Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Contractors
- Consultants
- Suppliers
- Project managers
- Ensure smooth execution of MEP services with works
5. Safety Compliance
- Ensure site activities follow health and safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce PPE usage.
6. Testing & Commissioning
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and systems.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical systems, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems
- Ability to read MEP drawings
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Site coordination and supervision skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Good communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 1–5 years of experience in construction or MEP projects
