Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing patient footfall, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the market presence of the hospital. The role involves building relationships with doctors, corporate organizations, insurance companies, TPAs, government agencies, and referral networks to achieve business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement business development strategies to increase hospital revenue and market share.
- Identify new business opportunities and healthcare service expansion initiatives.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Increase patient volumes across all specialties and super-specialties.
Corporate Relations
- Establish and maintain relationships with corporate organizations for employee health programs and healthcare services.
- Generate corporate tie-ups and annual health check-up contracts.
- Conduct presentations and business meetings with potential clients.
Doctor & Referral Network Development
- Build strong relationships with referring doctors, clinics, nursing homes, and healthcare providers.
- Develop referral programs to increase patient inflow.
- Coordinate with consultants and department heads to promote specialty services.
Insurance & TPA Management
- Coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs for empanelment and business development opportunities.
- Ensure smooth communication between hospital departments and insurance partners.
- Monitor utilization and growth of insurance business.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Plan and execute healthcare awareness programs, camps, CMEs, and community outreach activities.
- Support digital marketing, social media campaigns, and branding initiatives.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to develop effective marketing strategies.
Strategic Partnerships
- Develop partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, and healthcare organizations.
- Explore opportunities for medical tourism and international patient services.
- Establish collaborations that support long-term organizational growth.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare business development reports and performance dashboards.
- Monitor patient referral trends and revenue growth.
- Present monthly business performance reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- MBA in Marketing, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in healthcare marketing and business development.
- Experience in a multi-specialty hospital is preferred.
- Proven track record in corporate tie-ups, referral marketing, and revenue generation
