About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and assertive Factory Manager to oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations at Exicom Technologies. You will be responsible for running a disciplined, efficient, and quality-compliant production floor — managing people, processes, and output for advanced defence and aerospace systems. This is a high-ownership role that demands strong operational leadership and a sharp eye for quality and delivery.
Key Responsiblities:
- Oversee day-to-day factory operations including production planning, scheduling, and execution
- Lead and manage the shop floor team — supervisors, technicians, and assembly staff
- Ensure on-time delivery of production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Implement and sustain lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices
- Monitor machine/equipment utilisation, maintenance schedules, and downtime reduction
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and supply chain for material availability and inventory control
- Enforce EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies and ensure statutory compliance on the shop floor
- Liaise with Quality, Engineering, and R&D teams for NPIs, ECNs, and product improvements
- Prepare and present daily/weekly production MIS reports to senior management
- Drive productivity, cost efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives across the plant
Candidate Profile:
- 5–10 years of experience in factory/plant/production management, preferably in electronics, defence, or precision manufacturing.
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven ability to manage a shop floor team and deliver production targets under pressure
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and quality management systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100 preferred)
- Strong understanding of production planning, material flow, and inventory management.
- Hands-on, floor-present leadership style with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP systems for production tracking and reporting.
- Experience in defence, aerospace, or government-regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
- Familiarity with MIL-SPEC, DRDO, or DGQA quality requirements.
- Exposure to AS9100 / NADCAP certification processes preferred.
