About this opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineering Manager to lead and scale the My Invisalign mobile applications across iOS and Android. This role is for a seasoned engineering leader with deep mobile architecture expertise, a proven track record of running high‑quality, 4+‑star rated consumer apps, and hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted engineering to improve quality and delivery.
This is not an entry‑level or first‑time EM role.
In this role, you will…
- Lead delivery and technical direction for iOS and Android mobile applications, ensuring consistent, high‑quality user experiences at scale
- Own and evolve mobile architecture (modularization, MVVM/MVI, networking, persistence, observability, performance, security) and enforce engineering standards
- Own app quality and ratings, including maintaining 4+ star App Store / Play Store ratings and driving improvements to reach and sustain that bar
- Drive App Store and Play Store compliance, release readiness, privacy/security adherence, and smooth review cycles
- Lead planning, estimation, prioritization, and execution using agile best practices, with strong delivery predictability
- Perform architecture and code reviews, guiding teams through complex technical and design decisions
- Actively mentor and manage engineers, QA, and analysts, building a high‑performing, accountable, and growth‑oriented culture
- Champion AI‑assisted engineering practices to improve developer productivity, code quality, and test coverage.
In this role, you’ll need …
- 15+ years of total engineering experience, with primary, long‑term experience in mobile application development
- Minimum 3+ years of people management experience as an Engineering Manager (Do not apply without prior EM experience)
- Minimum 3+ years in a technical lead or mobile architecture role, owning architectural decisions for mobile platforms
- Proven experience running consumer mobile apps with sustained 4+ star ratings on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Deep expertise in iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin) ecosystems and large‑scale mobile architectures
- Strong hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production support for mobile apps
- Practical, hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., AI code generation, reviews, testing, refactoring) to augment engineering work
- Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills with Product, Design, Backend, QA, Data, and Security teams
