About Clancy Global
Clancy Global is a multidisciplinary building engineering design consultancy, operating as a joint venture with Clancy Consulting UK since 2005. With core expertise in Building Services (MEP / M&E), Civil & Structural Engineering, Smart Infrastructure, Sustainability, BIM, Dynamic Thermal Simulation, and CFD, we have delivered 700+ projects spanning 300+ million sq.ft. across 58 cities and 5 countries. Guided by our motto “Engineering Evolving”, we stay ahead of the curve through technology adoption, BIM-led workflows, and multidisciplinary training — offering our clients a coordinated, single-point-of-contact design experience.
Role Overview
We are looking for an MEP Engineer with a strong design background and hands-on BIM expertise to join our Building Services team. The role combines technical design of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, and Low-Voltage systems with the development and coordination of intelligent BIM models. You will contribute to projects across commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, IT/ITES, data centre, industrial, and infrastructure sectors — working alongside architects, structural engineers, sustainability consultants, and project teams across India and overseas.
Key ResponsibilitiesMEP Design
- Develop MEP design deliverables — concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and GFC — for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, data centre, and infrastructure projects.
- Perform heat load calculations, duct/pipe sizing, cable sizing, lighting and power load calculations, transformer/DG sizing, pump sizing, and drainage design.
- Prepare design basis reports (DBR), technical specifications, BOQs, equipment schedules, and single-line diagrams.
- Ensure designs comply with NBC, IS, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, CIBSE, SMACNA, IPC, UPC, and applicable local/international codes.
- Contribute to value engineering, peer review, and expert review assignments in line with Clancy Global’s service portfolio.
- Support sustainability-driven design aligned with LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, WELL, and Estidama frameworks.
BIM Modeling & Coordination
- Develop MEP BIM models in Autodesk Revit across LOD 200 to LOD 500 for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and low-voltage disciplines.
- Drive multidisciplinary clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage, working closely with architectural, structural, and civil teams.
- Implement and follow project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), LOD matrices, and Clancy Global’s in-house BIM standards, templates, and family libraries.
- Use collaborative platforms such as BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) /Archicad / Brickcad for model sharing, issue tracking, and design review.
- Extract construction drawings, shop drawings, sections, schedules, and isometrics directly from the BIM model with consistent quality.
- Support tech-enabled workflows including Dynamic Thermal Simulation, CFD inputs, and parametric/Dynamo-based automation, where applicable.
Coordination & Project Delivery
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, sustainability consultants, vendors, and contractors to deliver integrated and constructible MEP solutions.
- Participate in design review meetings, clash coordination sessions, and client presentations — in-person and virtual, including international coordination with Clancy Consulting UK teams.
- Respond to RFIs, issue design clarifications, and review vendor submittals and shop drawings during construction.
- Support tendering, cost estimation, procurement management, and site visits/inspections as required.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure design and BIM deliverables meet Clancy Global’s QA/QC standards, client requirements, and statutory compliance.
- Maintain proper drawing registers, revision control, and project documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design templates, BIM libraries, and best-practice guidelines.
Required QualificationsEducation
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Building Services Engineering from a recognized institution.
- M.E. / M.Tech in HVAC, Energy Systems, or Building Services Engineering is an added advantage.
- Certification in Autodesk Revit MEP / BIM (Autodesk Certified Professional preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of combined experience in MEP design consultancy and BIM modeling/coordination.
- Demonstrated delivery of at least 3–5 projects using end-to-end BIM workflows, preferably across two or more sectors (commercial, hospitality, healthcare, data centre, residential, or industrial).
- Prior experience with a design consultancy, MEP consultancy, or architecture-engineering firm is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to international projects (UK, Middle East, Southeast Asia, or Africa) will be a strong plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong design knowledge across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and low-voltage/ELV systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360 / ACC.
- Working knowledge of simulation and calculation tools such as HAP, McQuay, IESVE, Dialux/Relux, ETAP, and Pipe Flow Expert.
- Understanding of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans, LOD frameworks, and clash management workflows.
- Familiarity with Dynamic Thermal Simulation and CFD inputs is desirable, aligning with Clancy Global’s in-house capabilities.
- Basic knowledge of Dynamo or other parametric/automation tools is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, architects, and international teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a tech-enabled, fast-paced consultancy environment.
- Collaborative mindset aligned with Clancy Global’s ethos of multidisciplinary teamwork and long-term relationship building.
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Experience with green building certifications — LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, WELL, or Estidama.
- Exposure to Smart Infrastructure, Smart Cities, or tech-enabled Project Management / PMC assignments.
- Chartered Engineer status or active membership with ASHRAE, CIBSE, IEEE, or similar bodies.
- Prior site coordination experience during construction and commissioning stages.
Key Deliverables
- Coordinated, clash-free MEP BIM models across all project stages.
- Accurate design calculations, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Timely issuance of tender, GFC, and as-built deliverables.
- Compliance with Clancy Global’s quality standards and client expectations on budget, schedule, and design intent.
Note: Compensation will be commensurate with experience, technical depth, and project exposure. Shortlisted candidates should be prepared to walk through past MEP design and BIM projects during the interview.
