JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
We, at . . . Ellipsis Group, Comprising Keiyan MEP, Frontier Furniture & Touchwood Interiors, are seeking a dynamic and experienced, skilled and detail-oriented MEP Draughtsman to join our technical team. In this role, you will be the bridge between design concepts and site execution, transforming engineering layouts into precise, high-quality technical drawings. You will specialize in mechanical and electrical services for interior fit-out projects, ensuring that HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems are seamlessly integrated with architectural and interior designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Drawing Production: Prepare comprehensive shop drawings, detailed installation drawings, and final as-built records for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, lighting, and power systems.
- Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Develop MEP coordination drawings to identify and resolve clashes between services and structural/interior elements before they reach the site.
- System Detailing: Create accurate schematic diagrams, isometric layouts, and sectional details to guide the site installation team.
- Design Support: Perform essential engineering calculations, such as duct sizing and pipe routing, based on airflow data and project requirements.
- Standard Compliance: Ensure all layouts and designs adhere to local building codes, international engineering standards, and project-specific technical specifications.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with Site Engineers, Interior Designers, and Project Managers to communicate technical requirements and resolve on-site discrepancies.
- Document Control: Maintain organized electronic and manual drawing registers, ensuring all revisions are tracked and the latest versions are available to the team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a specialized Drafting certification).
- Experience: Minimum of 3/4 years of hands-on experience as an MEP Draughtsman, specifically within interior fit-out or commercial construction environments.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD (2D/3D); proficiency in MS Office and PDF editing tools. Familiarity with Revit/BIM is a significant advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of MEP symbols, sectional detailing, and the spatial requirements for various building services.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid grasp of local municipal codes and civil defense regulations regarding fire and safety.
- Core Competencies: * Sharp attention to detail and "clash-detection" mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) for clear coordination.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
