The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team delivers and services the control systems that ensure the health of AWS data centers. Operating across Australia & New Zealand, India, North Asia, and Southeast Asia, APAC CDS manages 41 leased/owned sites and supports global follow-the-sun operations. APAC CDS covers three core disciplines: deployments (control systems in new data centers), projects (capital improvement works at live sites), and service (control systems at live sites), with additional specializations in colocated sites, systems engineering, controls fleet, program management, and coordination.

Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineers deliver and support data center building automation systems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). CDS Engineers work to deploy and service building automation systems, to ensure the health of our data centers. As a CDS Engineer, you may oversee deployment of a new BMS or EPMS as part of a new data center build, deliver projects to upgrade an existing data center owned or leased by Amazon, or deliver projects to upgrade colocated data centers with Amazon hardware. As a CDS Engineer, you may also be required to provide local servicing expertise to our fleet or data centers in your region, and occasionally assist with global support. Successfully working as a CDS Engineer will also require you to partner effectively with the many teams at Amazon that make our data center deployments and operations a success, including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering teams, as well as maintaining strong relationships with our vendors.
Key job responsibilities
- Assist in the review and processing of control system change orders, scope of work (SOW) adjustments, and vendor deliverables
- Provide administrative and technical support for BMS and EPMS commissioning activities, including functional testing documentation and system acceptance
- Manage control system project documentation including Controls Points Lists, sequence of operations, network architecture diagrams, and as-built drawings in WorkDocs, SharePoint folders, and Wiki Pages
- Coordinate with Technical Program Managers (TPM), Construction Managers (CM), and Amazon Commissioning (ACx) teams on control system deployment schedules and milestones
- Support the maintenance and organization of control system standards, specifications, and BOD documentation
- Assist in tracking control system installation progress, testing completion, and production readiness milestones
- Gather feedback from control engineers, field teams, and stakeholders to improve control deployment workflows and processes
- Support the development and maintenance of control system training materials and technical documentation

Join the control team, a critical infrastructure engineering function within AWS Data Center Capacity Delivery that ensures technical excellence in control systems across our global data center construction portfolio. Our team is responsible for the development, integration, and deployment of electrical and mechanical control infrastructure for AWS data centers globally.
As part of the Data Center Control Engineering Team, you will be part of a highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling fascinating and challenging problems building and supporting control systems for AWS owned data centers within the APJC region and globally. The AWS Data Center Capacity Delivery Control team works on Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) that monitor and control critical infrastructure including HVAC equipment, chillers, air handling units, electrical distribution, UPS systems, and generators to maintain optimal data center operations.
