About the Role
As a Technical Lead at Propel, you will drive the architecture, development, and delivery of high-performance cloud-native applications. You will lead engineering teams, make critical technical decisions, and remain hands-on in building scalable systems using modern technologies such as .NET, Angular, microfrontends, and Microsoft Azure.
This role is ideal for senior engineers who enjoy balancing technical leadership with hands-on development while mentoring teams and shaping engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications using C# (.NET) and Angular with microfrontend architecture.
Architect and implement scalable, high-load, and concurrent systems.
Design and manage Azure-based infrastructure using services such as Application Gateway, API Management, Container Apps, Service Bus, Event Hub, SQL Database, Blob Storage, CDN, and OpenAI services.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Compass, and Atlas.
Ensure high code quality and security standards using tools such as SonarQube, Mend, and Aqua Trivy.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers while fostering a strong engineering culture.
Actively contribute to hands-on coding, architecture decisions, and complex problem-solving.
Drive engineering best practices related to performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex, large-scale technical projects.
Strong expertise in C# (.NET) backend development and Angular frontend development.
Hands-on experience with microfrontend architecture and full-stack application development.
Extensive experience building cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure (AWS or GCP experience is also acceptable).
Strong hands-on experience with containerized workloads and orchestration tools.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, Terraform, Pulumi, or Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
Deep understanding of test automation practices including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
Strong problem-solving and system design capabilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with emerging technologies.
Preferred
Experience working with hybrid cloud environments and on-premise to cloud integrations.
Familiarity with DevOps and delivery tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Atlassian Suite, SonarQube, Mend, and Aqua Trivy.
Strong understanding of component lifecycle management and advanced frontend architecture concepts.
Experience resolving complex performance, scalability, and reliability challenges in production systems.
