Looking for a PTC Master Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for defining, governing, and delivering enterprise-scale PLM architecture on PTC Windchill. This role combines deep platform expertise (data model, customization, integration) with modern engineering capabilities (Java/J2EE, event-driven architectures using Kafka) to drive scalable, performance, and future-ready digital thread ecosystems.
This position plays a critical role in complex transformations including implementations, upgrades, migrations, and cloud modernization across global manufacturing/engineering enterprises.
Core Responsibilities
1. Architecture Leadership & Strategy
Define end-to-end PLM architecture blueprint (Windchill + integrations + data architecture)
Lead solution design for enterprise-scale implementations, upgrades, and migrations
Establish architectural standards: scalability, performance, security, resiliency
Drive roadmap for cloud-native / hybrid PLM architectures
2. Windchill Platform Expertise
Provide deep expertise across:
Windchill data model, object structures, lifecycle workflows
Customization (Java / Windchill API / InfoEngine)
Configuration (PDMLink, MPMLink, Change mgmt, BOM mgmt)
Design and oversee:
Security, roles, access control
Workflow orchestration and lifecycle modeling
Lead complex upgrades, instance consolidation, and re-platforming initiatives
3. Engineering & Development Excellence
Architect and govern development using:
Java / J2EE stack (core strength)
Windchill APIs & server-side customization
Establish coding standards, reusable frameworks, accelerators
Lead troubleshooting for performance, scalability, and complex defects
4. Integration & Event-Driven Architecture
Design enterprise integrations with:
ERP (SAP), MES, ALM, IoT platforms
Lead real-time integration frameworks using Kafka/event streaming
Build scalable data exchange patterns:
Pub-sub models, microservices-based integrations
Enable Digital Thread connectivity across engineering → manufacturing → service
5. Data Migration & Transformation
Define and execute data migration strategies:
Legacy PLM → Windchill / multi-instance consolidation
Hands-on with:
Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM), ETL pipelines, SQL-based transformations
Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance frameworks
6. Delivery Leadership
Own technical delivery across:
Implementation, upgrade, migration programs
Provide guidance across full lifecycle:
Discovery → Design → Build → Test → Deploy → Hypercare
Work closely with global teams (onsite/offshore)
7. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as trusted advisor to client CXO/Engineering leadership
Lead workshops:
Architecture, roadmap, modernization strategy
Support:
Pre-sales, solutioning, POCs, estimations
8. CoE & Practice Development
Contribute to Windchill CoE:
Define best practices, reusable IP, accelerators
Mentor architects and senior developers
Drive innovation:
AI-led PLM, Digital Thread, Cloud PLM adoption
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
12–18+ years in PLM / Windchill ecosystem
Proven track record in:
Implementation, upgrade, and migration
Technical Skills
Core
Strong expertise in:
PTC Windchill architecture & data model
Java/J2EE development (must-have)
Deep understanding of:
Workflows, lifecycle, BOM management
Advanced
Kafka / Event-driven architecture (critical differentiator)
Integration frameworks (REST, middleware, APIs)
Data migration tools (WBM, SQL, ETL)

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,700,000.00 per year
