Job Description
As a Power Platform Developer, you will work as part of a delivery team to create scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that improve business processes and drive efficiency. You will build automations and business applications using Microsoft Power Platform, initially with a strong focus on Power Automate and application integrations with opportunities for building Copilot Studio agents.
The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, requiring strong technical capability in automation, integration, and solution development. You will contribute to building reusable components and following best practices, while developing your capability across the wider Microsoft ecosystem, including Copilot Studio.
This role is hands‑on, suited to someone who thrives in solution delivery, works confidently with stakeholders, and stays close to the technical detail.
Key responsibilities

Design and develop Power Platform solutions, with a primary focus on Power Automate (cloud flows and integrations) and identify use cases for Copilot Studio Agents.

Build and maintain integrations between systems using connectors, APIs, and custom connectors

Support development of Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) and Dataverse solutions where required
-
Apply best practice development standards, including structured flow design, error handling, and performance optimisation

Work with technical leads and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions

Contribute to application lifecycle management activities, including solution packaging, deployment, and environment management
-
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Power Platform solutions and integrations
-
Participate in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and stand-ups
-
Produce clear documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers
-
Work closely with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and produce scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
Ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements such as performance, accessibility, security, resilience, and maintainability.

Qualifications
Essential experience & skills
-
4-6 years of Demonstrable experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (typically 2+ years)

Strong hands-on experience building Power Automate flows, including:
-
Complex workflow design
-
Integration with multiple systems
-
Error handling and monitoring
-
Experience integrating systems using APIs, connectors, or third-party services
-
Working knowledge of Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-driven apps)
-
Experience using Dataverse and/or SharePoint as data sources
-
Understanding of development best practices, including:
-
Solution structure and maintainability
-
Basic ALM concepts (environments, solutions, deployments)
-
Experience working in Agile delivery teams
-
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-
Good communication skills and ability to work within distributed teams
Desirable Skills
-
Experience with Copilot Studio (agent creation, integrations, or automation scenarios)
-
Exposure to Azure services or integration tooling (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus)
-
Knowledge of DevOps practices (Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD)
-
Experience building custom connectors or advanced integrations
-
Familiarity with scripting or development languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, or .NET)
Relevant Microsoft certifications ie PL‑900/400 and PL-7002 course accreditation.
