GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled backend developer to join our dynamic team at a leading financial institution. The developer shall be part of the global CoE Software Solutions team within GPS IT based in India. The developer shall work with team members based in both Zurich, Singapore, and India to help maintain the current trading platform and improve and create new libraries and frameworks upon which our trading platform is based.
Working in an agile environment and interacting with traders, business owners, and other stakeholders, the developer shall capture new requirements, design innovative solutions, and implement them. As part of the global team and working on global applications, the developer shall also provide first-class support to the business and other stakeholders when called on.
KEY FEATURES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Design & Backend Development
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions for financial products and services.
· Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C#. Optimize server-side performance and ensure data integrity and security.
· Contribute to containerizing applications for cloud-based development.
System Integration & Support
· Work on integrating various financial systems and third-party services, ensuring smooth data flow and interoperability.
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the stack, providing support for both development and production environments.
· Provide dedicated post-implementation support locally in Asia.
Stakeholder & Change Management
· Solicit and discuss requirements and solutions with business owners and stakeholders.
· Provide regular updates to key stakeholders through the various channels used by the team.
· Actively participate and support Program Increment (PI) planning process within GPS; support change management and release rollout planning.
People & Business Management
· Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment across locations.
· Motivate and provide guidance/feedback to other team members to improve overall performance.
· Work to fulfil the ambitions of the team and actively participate to regularly review and improve team practices to optimize efficiency.

· Ensure active risk management and meet all regulatory and internal compliance expectations relating to the role.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Professional & Technical Skills
· Relevant higher educational and professional background with 10+ years of experience in software development, of which 5+ years as a backend developer.
· Profound hands-on expertise in C#.
· Good knowledge of MongoDB and MS SQL.
· Good knowledge of RabbitMQ, gRPC, and GraphQL.
· Good code review skills, and pride in maintaining high code quality and best practices (including CI/CD testing).
· Willingness to work seamlessly in a global team setup across Switzerland, Singapore, and India.

Additional Desirable Requirements (Nice-to-Have)
· Prior work experience in the financial industry.
· Familiarity with cloud-based development, ideally in application containerization as well as Azure Application services.
· Good hands-on JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills along with knowledge of frameworks like ReactJS.
· Familiarity with frontend build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, NPM).
Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
