Key Responsibilities:

Manage and administer NetApp ONTAP environments (AFF/FAS systems, SAN/NAS configurations, Storage Virtual Machines).
Provision, configure, and maintain volumes, aggregates, and LUNs based on business requirements.
Monitor and optimize performance of NetApp storage systems using Active IQ Unified Manager , OnCommand System Manager, or CLI/API.
Maintain and manage SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter for data replication, backup, and recovery.
Perform firmware upgrades , patch management, and system expansion activities.
Implement and maintain storage security , access controls, and data protection measures.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and performance issues.
Generate capacity planning reports and forecast storage needs.
Collaborate with VMware/Hyper-V, database administrators, and application teams to ensure seamless storage integration.
Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing .
Support and continuously improve multi-cluster NetApp environments .
Ensure compliance with ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years experience in enterprise storage administration.
Strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP (9.x or later) and NetApp hardware platforms.
Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS protocols: NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, FC.
Experience with SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter, MetroCluster .
Proficiency with NetApp administration tools (System Manager, Active IQ UM, OnCommand, CLI).
Knowledge of storage performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with VMware datastores, Microsoft Failover Clustering, and Hyper-V integration with NetApp.
Experience in scripting for automation ( PowerShell , Python , or NetApp PowerShell Toolkit).
Understanding of data protection, backup/restore processes, and disaster recovery.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills for collaboration and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) certifications.
Familiarity with other storage platforms for heterogeneous environment support.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and tools like ServiceNow.
Experience working in regulated industries (Development, Media, financial, healthcare, government).

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
