We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead the development and delivery of complex semiconductor equipment software systems. The TPM will own and deliver multiple critical subsystems within an NPI (New Product Introduction) program, providing both technical and program leadership while managing a team of engineers. This role requires complete ownership of subsystem execution, including high-level design reviews, planning, scheduling, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, team leadership, and successful delivery of program commitments. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, product management, systems, quality, and customer-facing teams to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The TPM will be accountable for end-to-end delivery of the assigned workgroup, including technical execution, schedule adherence, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and team leadership
Key Responsibilities
Program Planning and Execution
- Lead end-to-end program management for semiconductor equipment software projects from concept through release.
- Own and deliver multiple modules in a complex software system based on planned milestones.
- Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations.
- Drive execution across multiple engineering teams while ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer commitments.
- Monitor program progress and proactively address schedule, scope, and resource challenges.
Technical Leadership
- Work closely with software architects and engineering teams to understand system architecture and technical dependencies.
- Manage and lead multiple sub-system teams with different competencies.
- Review and contribute to high-level system and software designs to ensure alignment with program goals.
- Facilitate technical decision-making and trade-off discussions across stakeholders.
- Ensure integration activities are planned and executed effectively across hardware, software, and system teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program status, risks, and escalations.
- Communicate program progress, milestones, and key decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate across global teams including software engineering, systems engineering, product management and SQE team.
- Build strong relationships and drive collaboration across geographically distributed teams.
Risk & Dependency Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues proactively.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies and ensure timely resolution of blockers.
- Drive contingency planning and recovery strategies for schedule or technical risks.
- Maintain risk registers and regularly communicate mitigation plans.
- Metrics, Tracking & Reporting
- Establish program governance mechanisms, KPIs, and reporting structures.
- Track project health using appropriate metrics, dashboards, and status reports.
- Conduct regular program reviews and ensure accountability for commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement in program management processes and execution excellence.
Subsystem Ownership
- Own the development and delivery of a designated system/subsystem within a semiconductor equipment NPI program.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for all technical, schedule, quality, and execution aspects of the assigned workgroup (WG).
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of software, systems, and engineering resources to achieve program objectives.
- Drive requirements clarification, architecture reviews, design execution, integration planning, validation, and release readiness activities.
- Ensure alignment between subsystem deliverables and overall product/program milestones.
- Balance technical priorities, resource allocation, and business objectives to achieve successful subsystem delivery.
- Establish clear goals, execution plans, and performance metrics for the team while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.

Work Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in technical project management or engineering program management
- Mandatory experience in Semiconductor Equipment Software development and delivery.
- Strong understanding of SEMI standards, SECS/GEM.
- Should have Semiconductor Fab experience and understanding of Fab automation workflows.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and traditional project management methodologies.
- Strong background in software engineering with hands-on technical understanding.
- Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary programs involving software, systems, and hardware teams.
- Proven experience in:
o High-level system/software design reviews
o Stakeholder communication and executive reporting
o Risk identification and mitigation
o Program scheduling, planning, and tracking
o Cross-functional team leadership
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with semiconductor equipment domains such as wafer processing, inspection, metrology, lithography, etch, deposition, packaging, or automation systems.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, real-time systems, equipment control software, or factory automation solutions.
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
