The purpose of this role is to support all business development activities in RE projects and play an integral role in building MWs. This includes handling regulatory affairs, tender preparation & submission, obtaining connectivity at ISTS / STU level, coordinating with tendering agencies / CTU / PGCIL / MNRE / RE associations

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a pipeline of mature feasible renewable projects in the targeted states through direct lead generation
Identify and evaluate potential connectivity’s for new project development in target states based on sub-station availability, load flow studies and availability of land.
Lead CTU and STU connectivity application and approval process.
For STU projects, work with state agencies/facilitators in target states to secure connectivity and related approvals for project origination
Identify key partners for project execution (Land, EPC, Construction works) and work with internal stakeholders like Procurement, Engineering and Projects team for commercial negotiation and contract finalisation.
Track and analyze upcoming tenders (SECI, NTPC, GUVNL, MSEDCL, TANGEDCO, etc.) and evaluate strategic fit.
Benchmark competition and market trends to understand project feasibility.
Monitor and analyze regulatory developments (CEA, MNRE, MoP, CERC, SERCs, DISCOMs, SLDCs) impacting bidding and project viability.
Draft responses to consultations/petitions that influence bidding opportunities, tariffs, or project structuring.
Support in regulatory filings, PPA change-in-law cases,
Ensure adherence to PPAs post-bid award, including Change in Law, Force Majeure, etc.

Required Experience:

10-12 years’ experience in the renewable industry with a strong focus on originating mature renewable energy projects.
Demonstrated track record of leading successful bids with SECI, NTPC, DISCOMs.
Good understanding of Indian electricity regulations and their impact on industry, renewable bidding and PPAs.

Key Competencies

Expertise in bid management across multiple RE segments (solar, wind, hybrid, RTC, storage).
Ability to integrate regulatory perspectives into bidding strategy.
Strong cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Detail-oriented with high problem-solving ability under tight timelines.
Strong analytical and documentation skills; proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
