QA Automation Engineer

You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams in a fast-paced startup environment where ownership, innovation, collaboration, and learning are highly valued.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with a strong engineering foundation and hands-on experience building scalable automated test frameworks. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites that ensure Strev’s platform meets the highest quality standards across web, mobile, and API layers.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript, API automation using Apidog and Playwright API Testing, and testing modern Flutter-based mobile applications. We are also looking for someone who is passionate about modern QA practices, AI-assisted testing approaches, and continuously improving automation quality and engineering efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications.
Build reliable and maintainable automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
Develop advanced UI automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
Perform API automation and validation using Apidog, Postman, and Playwright API Testing.
Perform security testing using tools like Burp Suite to identify and document vulnerabilities.
Execute performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter and k6.
Investigate and evaluate emerging testing tools, AI-assisted QA workflows, and modern automation technologies.
Explore practical AI-driven improvements for automation, debugging, reporting, test generation, and productivity enhancement.

REQUIREMENTS

3–5 years of hands-on QA experience with a strong focus on automation testing for web and mobile applications.
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript.
Experience with API automation and validation using Apidog, Postman, and Playwright API Testing.
Experience testing Flutter-based mobile applications.
Strong SQL skills for backend and database validation testing.
Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with Node.js and npm for local development and automation setup.
Experience with Burp Suite or similar tools for security and vulnerability testing.
Basic understanding of AI-assisted testing tools and practical applications of AI in software testing.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with mobile automation using Maestro.
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
Prior experience testing SaaS or B2B enterprise platforms.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or AI-based test generation tools.
