Job Title: Ayurvedic Chef (Vegetarian & Therapeutic Cuisine)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Ayurvedic Chef who specializes in preparing traditional Kerala-style vegetarian and therapeutic diet meals. The ideal candidate should understand Ayurvedic principles of food and be able to create balanced, healing, and guest-specific meals that support wellness and treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare authentic Kerala-style vegetarian meals in accordance with Ayurvedic principles
- Design and cook diet-specific meals based on doctors’ prescriptions (Dosha-based diets – Vata, Pitta, Kapha)
- Ensure food is fresh, hygienic, and prepared with high-quality ingredients
- Coordinate with Ayurvedic doctors to customize meals for guests undergoing treatments
- Maintain consistency in taste, nutrition, and presentation
- Plan daily menus aligned with treatment programs and seasonal availability
- Monitor kitchen hygiene and follow food safety standards
- Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Manage kitchen inventory and coordinate procurement of ingredients
- Train and guide kitchen assistants when required
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Ayurvedic Chef or Vegetarian Chef
- Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic cooking principles and sattvic diet
- Ability to prepare therapeutic diet food as per medical guidance
- Experience in Kerala-style cooking is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions (allergies, intolerances, detox diets)
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work in a calm, disciplined, and wellness-focused environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in Ayurveda hospitals, retreats, or wellness centers
- Basic understanding of English (to communicate with international guests)
- Passion for health, wellness, and holistic living
