Job Description – ITI Helper ( Fuel Distribution Project)

Job Location: Project Site – Fuel Distribution System (Fuel Terminal / Tank Farm / Airport Fuel Hydrant System)
Job Summary
The ITI Helper assists skilled trades such as pipe fitters, welders, riggers, and mechanical technicians in carrying out installation, fabrication, and maintenance work for fuel distribution piping systems in an EPC construction project. The role supports material handling, tool preparation, basic fitting activities, and site housekeeping while ensuring compliance with project safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assistance in Piping and Mechanical Work
Assist pipe fitters, welders, and riggers during piping installation activities.
Support pipe cutting, grinding, and fitting operations.
Help in alignment and positioning of pipes, valves, and fittings.
2. Material Handling:
Transport piping materials such as:Pipes,Elbows, Flanges,Valves, Gaskets, Bolts and nuts.
Assist in loading, unloading, and shifting of materials within the construction site.
3. Tool Handling:
Prepare and provide tools and equipment required for mechanical work.
Clean and store tools properly after use.
Assist in handling tools such as:
Grinding machines
Pipe cutting tools
Spanners and wrenches
Measuring tools
4. Support in Welding Activities:
Assist welders in joint preparation and cleaning.
Help in removal of slag and grinding of weld joints.
Provide welding consumables such as electrodes and filler rods.
5. Installation Support:
Assist during installation of:
Fuel piping systems
Valves and pumps
Pipe supports and structures
Fuel transfer lines
6. Housekeeping:
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Remove scrap materials and debris from work locations.
Ensure proper material stacking and storage.
7. Safety Compliance:
Follow all site safety rules and HSE guidelines.
Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including:
Helmet
Safety shoes
Gloves
Safety goggles
Reflective vest
Support supervisors in maintaining safe working conditions in fuel handling areas.
Required Skills:
Basic knowledge of mechanical and piping work
Ability to handle construction tools and equipment
Understanding of workplace safety practices
Good physical stamina for site work
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
